Your role:

This is a position in the head quarter of a business unit managing global telecom and technology business.  The position oversees Finance operations both at head quarter and overseas offices.
 
The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring the day to day Finance operations, including but not limited to: monitoring payment process, maintaining efficient and effective system for credit control and settlement, supporting ad hoc Finance-related system enhancement projects, etc.  Major responsibilities include:

• Ensure the collections and payment transactions are handled timely and are accurately recorded. 
• Exercise credit control over customer on-boarding and settlement to ensure corporate targets are met.
• Monitor bank account operations and intra-group funding arrangements.
• Timely reporting of AR and AP performance for management decision.
• Continuous review and provide suggestions to improve finance processes and systems and / or other tools in support of carrying out those processes.    
• Lead and coach a team of about 10 staff to ensure team deliverables are timely and accurate.
• Any other ad hoc tasks.

To succeed in this role:

• Degree holder in Finance or related disciplines, qualified accountant from an internationally recognized professional body.
• Minimum of 8-10 years solid experience in Finance-related field. Any prior experience in accounting operations and credit control in the telecommunications industry an advantage.  Exposure to regional operations an added bonus.
• Self-initiated, analytical, ability to work independently under pressure and tight deadlines
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Full familiarity with Microsoft Office applications is necessary.
