Position Overview:

The position is a role under the Regional Accounts Payable function of Asia and primarily to ensure all accounts payable transactions are handled timely, accurately and in compliance with company policies.  You will be responsible for handling accounts payable day-to-day transactions and activities for Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia as well as weekly settlement process for other offices in Asia.

Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

• Process accurate and timely payments to vendors and staff reimbursements
• Review travel entertainment claims against the company policy and procedure
• Follow up on outstanding invoices with local offices or vendors
• Handle inquiries from local and overseas colleagues or vendors
• Perform accounting entries and month-end closing
• Work independently and/or collaborate with teammates on operational process improvements and simplification
• Assist with general accountancy work and perform User Acceptance Testing for system upgrades or enhancement
• Assist in ad-hoc duties when required

Requirements:

• Diploma or above in Accountancy
• Experience in Account Payable process is required
• Electronic banking system experience
• Experience in PeopleSoft is a definite advantage
• Independent mind, self-motivation and proactive with minimal supervision
• With a strong sense of responsibility, detailed-minded and able to meet tight deadlines with high accuracy
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels including senior management
• Good command of spoken and written English
• PC applications including MS Excel (vlookup)
• Immediately available is highly preferred
