YOUR OPPORTUNITY

The Assistant Financial Controller reports directly to the Director of Finance and represents the Financial Controller in the daily operation of Finance Department. The Assistant Financial Controller is intended to be trained to take on the Financial Controller position in due course.  

Responsibilities

  • As the deputy head of department in absence of Financial Controller;
  • Coordinate with internal auditors from Great Eagle Holdings Ltd as well as external auditors for year-end closing;
  • Participate in meeting with external parties e.g. insurance companies;
  • Forecast & Review hotel’s business, profits and budgets while report the profit and revenue, finance highlights and business outlook to Corporate Office and Great Eagle Holdings Ltd;
  • Review all the reports and statements prepared by the team members of Finance Department, including but not limited to areas of insurance, CAPEX, payroll, payment & rebate;
  • Approve and review all finance-related reports and documents from other departments;
  • Direct and attend all regular meetings with subordinates to relay information, policy changes and brief personnel any changes of operations; &
  • Coach, guide and train colleagues.

Qualifications

  • At least 8 years of hotel accounting work experience with minimum 3 years at senior managerial positions; Experience in auditing firm is a plus.
  • Bachelor degree holder in Accounting & holder of CPA or ACCA;
  • Knowledge of particular systems such as Property Management System (PMS), Payroll system and back office system such as Opera and Delphi is preferable;
  • Prompt and systematic decision making skills with analytical power;
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills;
  • Independent with strong sensitivity to numbers and figures;
  • Good delegation & interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent command in English and Cantonese, proficient of Mandarin is a plus; &
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office application, especially Word and Excel.
