About the Company:
My client is a MNC and they are currently looking for a Deputy CFO to join their team.

With the group’s recent expansion and transformation plans, my client has opened a new headcount as Deputy CFO to closely work with the CFO to oversees the group’s overall financial matters and act as the Finance representative for the group’s transformation projects. They are looking for a seasoned Finance professional who is not only experienced, but also able to think out of the box and be creative to take up the role to lead the team and to set up different high-level strategies to optimize the group’s performance. This role is a global role and overseeing a team of 60+pax.  

Job Description:

Overall duties:

• Develop and implement effective and innovative global Finance initiatives, lead the budgeting and forecasting process and outcome including proper risk assessment and aligned with the business’s upcoming directions
• Act as the leader in the team and work closely with other department heads to provide professional opinions / advisory
• Act as high level supervisor to ensure all the Finance related functions – including but not limited to  Business Partnering, Accounting, Investor relations, Treasury, Group reporting etc. to run smoothly. Also champion excellent management of financial resources, promoting probity, efficiency, high performance and overall value for money
• Identify new business opportunities such as joint ventures/ M&A for the group and consistent with the overall strategic direction
• Work closely with the CFO and advise the board on the compliance issues with HK Listing rules & regulations
• Conduct different financial analysis when necessary

Senior Leadership duties:

• Act as a key member of the Group level Leadership team, develop and execute Finance strategy plans to ensure close alignment to business priorities through strong collaboration and effective team working
• Oversees and lead the Finance team and empower the team to deliver desired results
• Act as one of the change agent when it comes to company’s transformation project and act as one of the project leader to guide through it
• Participate in other Finance projects if necessary

Skills & Experiences required:

• Bachelor Degree majored in Finance, Mathematics, Economics or other related discipline 
• Qualified HKICPA/ ACCA accountant is a must 
• At least 15-20 years of Finance experience from sizeable listed firms with solid APAC and China exposure
• Well-versed of HK listing rules and regulations
• Experience in working as an Auditor in the commercial field will be an advantage
• With great people management – proven track record as a good supervisor
• Agile and flexible candidate with can-do attitude is desired
• In-depth knowledge in different analytical tools and good communication skills  
• Proficiency in both English, Cantonese and Mandarin
