Our client, headquartered in the U.S., is a research-based biopharmaceutical company that discovers, develops and commercializes innovative medicines in areas of unmet medical need. They are looking for a financial assistant to support the Japan payment team operation.

Responsibilities:

• Processing of vendors’ invoices, employees’ expense claims, payment files for Japan; ability to follow up and resolve outstanding items and exceptions
• Responsible for the preparation of the month end closing procedures for Japan
• Ensure financial records are in compliance with GAAP. Consistently maintains appropriate internal controls and upholds company policies & procedures including Worldwide Controller’s manual

Requirements:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Japanese, English & Mandarin
• Highly prefer Professional accounting qualifications/ USGAAP/ China Accounting
• Capability process up to 500-600 invoices per month
• Some knowledge on SOX compliance and internal control, open to Oracle, SAP or other ERP system knowledge
• Collaborative, good interpersonal skills, willingness to learn, stable character
