My client is an established and growing Virtual Bank in Hong Kong. The finance department is now looking for a new Manager or Senior Manager to support financial accounting duties. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Report directly to the Head of Finance 
• Work in a finance team of less than 10 
• Assist with overseeing the preparation of month-end and year-end closing
• Oversee full range daily accounting duties, including General Ledger, financial operations and reconciliations work
• Mentor junior accountants within the team
• Coordinate with external auditors and ensure statutory annual audits are completed in a timely manner
• Keep up to date with latest financial reporting and accounting standards and implement as necessary, and ensure key stakeholders are up to date
• Ad hoc support duties related to financial accounting function 
• Possible exposure / rotation in the future to HKMA regulatory reporting duties 

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/finance or related
• Qualified Accountant
• 5+ years minimum experience in financial accounting / financial reporting within banks 
• External Audit experience and background (Big 4 firm is a plus) is a must 
• Strong communications in Cantonese and English 
• Self-starter, proactive, ability to work independently and under pressure
