Deputy Tax Director

About the company

Our client is a listed company in Pharmaceutics committed to provide accessible, innovative, and quality medicines, focused in various categories of illnesses such as respiratory, oncology, immunodeficient and psychological illnesses. They are currently looking for an experienced Deputy Tax Director (APAC Tax), to lead and be responsible for the growth & expansion of the local business and potentially reporting on a regional basis

Key responsibilities

Repotting to Head of Finance, you will be leading a small team of subordinates to oversee APAC taxation issues including tax compliance, tax advisory (M&A, group restructuring), transfer pricing, tax disputes, etc. Tax Health Checks and reports should be conducted regularly and provide feasible solutions to enhance tax efficiency and effectiveness. You need to be aware of new tax regulations and react simultaneously to safeguard the good for company. You will have to work with external advisors on tax planning and compliance matters.

Ideal candidates

• 10+ years of experience in APAC tax (preferably PRC & HK Tax) from reputative professional firms and/or MNCs with a relevant degree in Finance & Accounting/Law/etc.
• Professional accounting qualification
• Knowledgeable in tax-related regulations and laws
• Leadership skill and experience
• Bilingual proficiency
