Service Line OverviewAn opportunity has arisen in our ASPAC Regional Risk Management team at the Senior Manager level. This full-time role supports and reports to KPMG’s Head of Quality & Risk Management, ASPAC. As part of this high-performing and passionate team, your role will enable you to deal firsthand with a range of senior KPMG stakeholders, both within the ASPAC region and globally.Service Line OverviewThe ASPAC Regional Consulting Director will support the ASPAC Advisory COO together with the ASPAC Heads of Advisory and Consulting to shape and execute the regional Advisory and Consulting strategy and underlying growth initiatives in Asia Pacific. The incumbent will also liaise and work closely with the national heads of Advisory and Consulting in ASPAC together with other key regional and national stakeholders. The incumbent will be part of the regional leadership team and be a key link into Advisory & Consulting for ASPAC. Finally, the incumbent will be responsible for overseeing a team of executives and sales enablement professionals.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategy Development & Execution
  • Work closely with ASPAC Advisory & Consulting heads and ASPAC Advisory COO in the execution of the global and regional Advisory growth strategy
  • Lead the development and execution of the ASPAC Consulting growth strategy (this may involve periodic refresh in light of evolving external/ internal developments), including investments and growth initiatives
  • Engage with global Consulting leaders and support roll out & execution of the global Consulting strategy
  • Work with both member firm Advisory & Consulting leaders to implement key regional initiatives whilst identifying, escalating and resolving any issues
  • Support and coordinate regional Consulting leadership networks and growth initiatives
  • Contribute to and challenge the ASPAC Advisory strategy and operations as a core member of the ASPAC Advisory leadership team
  • Identify opportunities to drive regional and cross functional collaboration
  • Identify improved ways of working that will help break down internal silos and support a One KPMG culture
  • Work closely with other regional resources to support broader regional Advisory related initiatives as required
Go-to-Market
  • Serve as a central point of escalation & coordination for strategic and high value Advisory opportunities in the region
  • Oversee a small team of sales enablement professionals to activate and operationalise KPMG’s regional integrated sales enablement (RISE) model
  • Work closely with Advisory, Clients & Markets, KPMG Delivery Network (KDN) & Alliances leadership & teams to create and maintain a singular view of regional strategic pipeline (high value / cross functional / multi member firm opportunities)
  • Work with regional lead partners and client service teams to identify and support Advisory-related opportunities as required, helping drive understanding of priority solutions into regional sector and account teams
  • Working closely with ASPAC Client & Markets, develop and sustain a rolling 3-year plan for regional Advisory sales enablement capability and investment
  • Sustain a consistent focus on breaking down KPMG silos to supporting and delivery large client opportunities
  • Serve as the Advisory secretariat for the Regional Deals Board comprised of regional leadership with a focus on supporting strategic Advisory client opportunities
Operations
  • Support ASPAC Advisory COO to develop business reporting for regional leadership including the ASPAC Board
  • Support ASPAC Advisory COO in the management of, and follow-up on, monthly ASPAC Advisory Leadership meetings
  • Lead monthly leadership meetings with member firm Heads of Consulting, including the development and communication of supporting collateral
  • Act as the PMO for ASPAC Consulting
  • Act as a central point of contact for Consulting at a regional level
  • Collaborate with Global Consulting leaders and peers to support the roll-out of assets and initiatives as required for ASPAC
  • Oversee a small team of consulting executives responsible for driving regional service line and priority solution growth focus
  • Define and report strategic growth KPIs for Consulting in ASPAC
  • Interpret KPI performance data for Consulting in ASPAC, liaising with member firms to develop a narrative as necessary
  • Support roll-out of relevant L&D initiatives
  • Help devise regional engagement campaigns and/or events that build awareness of KPMG capability and solutions
  • Attend and contribute to a range of global and regional calls to stay on top of current developments within the firm
  • Help source material and write articles for for Advisory internal and external communications in ASPAC
Experience & BackgroundThe successful candidate must have an understanding of the consulting and professional services market, be able to operate in a matrix organisation and have the ability to work collaboratively and influence the actions of KPMG partners and staff across the ASPAC region. The Incumbent needs to be a team player with have strong critical thinking, analytical skills and the ability to think outside the box to explore different ways of working that will accelerate KPMG’s trust and growth agenda. Strong and proven project management and learning management skills must be combined with resilience, cultural awareness and diplomacy to achieve stakeholder engagement.
  • Management consultant with 8+ years of experience working in strategy, digital transformation or organisational change within a professional service or corporate environment.
  • Strong project management experience implementing strategic initiatives or organizational change/transformation projects in complex matrix environments.
  • Prior experience managing high performing team(s) in a professional service or corporate environment.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and project reporting skills with an ability to develop metrics, analyse data, report KPIs and follow up with people on a timely basis for status updates.
  • Motivated, pro-active and hard-working team player who is results driven, action oriented and outcomes focused.
  • Attention to detail, a fast learner and well organised. Able to show initiative and be able to pick up and run with new projects quickly, take on responsibility outside the scope of your current skills and make things happen.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage numerous projects simultaneously across multiple time zones and deliver within set timeframes.
  • Strong and proven relationship building skills, able to hold their own with senior leaders.
  • Cultural awareness and understanding is essential. Previous experience of working across functions and geographies highly beneficial.
  • Able and available to travel internationally in the range of 5-10%.
