Job Description

Job Summary
The role holder is responsible for providing support to GMG’s various Business Units by understanding business issues, and assisting in driving key Human Resource activities such as recruitment, operations, learning and development, performance and rewards, and employee relations.

Accountabilities
Core Responsibilities:
  • Oversees the implementation of the HR strategy across the Business Units through various policies and procedures in order to ensure employee satisfaction and high quality of HR services
  • Develops and revises employee handbooks to ensure that the workforce is aware of company policies and procedures; Communicates any policy changes to employees in a timely manner
  • Develops, enhances or revises existing compensation and benefits programs based on current trend analysis and policy direction
  • Ensures effective communication of the compensation and benefits, to ascertain that employees and managers understand its aim and value
  • Liaises with GMG’s various Business Units to ensure performance management key performance indicators and targets are defined for all concerned staff
  • Coordinates with Senior Management to ensure adherence to performance management process for all concerned staffand provide guidance as required
  • Ensures that all employee queries and requests with regard to employee letters, HR policies, career development and personal issues are responded to in a timely and professional manner
  • Manages and investigates any disciplinary issues and policy infractions within GMG
  • Oversees collection andfilling of employee records, including personnel status updates, terminations and new hires in hard and soft copy, to ensure compliance with the definedfiling and archiving guidelines
  • Manages all the HR Systems Reporting and Analytics ensuring completeness and accuracy of data reporting
  • Participates in the selection process as an HR interviewer, where required, in order to assess the behavioral and culturalfit with GMG’s organizational context, values and competencies
  • Oversees the employee exit process, coordinates with managers on terminations, ensures proper documentation and conducts employee exit interview
  • Collaborates with the Learning & Development function to conduct training needs identification and analysis annually, on the basis of organizational strategic requirements, functional growth objectives, and employee skill gaps
  • Coordinates with the Group on recruitment with regard to onboarding of new joiners
  • Manages and investigates disciplinary issues, investigation and policy infractions within GMG, and liaises with Loss Prevention department to facilitate investigation if required
  • Oversees the employee exit process, coordinates with managers and legal department on terminations, ensures proper documentation and conducts employee exit interviews\
  • Monitors and records the training to analyze the training delivery and improvise delivery/suggest improvements to development team
People Management:
  • Defines goals and key performance indicators for each member of the team and ensures effective implementation of the GMG’s performance management process
  • Develops talent within the team by providing guidance, mentoring and coaching to achieve the defined goals and a high performance team.
  • Drives a culture of feedback and coaching in the Business Unit/ Department by providing feedback on an ongoing basis, identifying development needs and coaching the employees on the areas of improvement
Educational Qualifications and Certificates
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Human Resources
Experience
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience with at least 4-5 years in a similar role
