Job Description

Our People Organisation professionals drive the firm’s people strategy, create a unique people experience, and work with the business to drive success in the marketplace. To drive the strategic positioning of PwC’s employer brand and underpin our people agenda through targeted communications, the People Organisation function requires a seasoned brand and communications specialist to manage and execute the agenda.

The Brand and Communications Senior Officer role and scope is complex and broad with firmwide impact to mainland China and Hong Kong as well as to internal and external audiences including media. The role acts as expert in brand and communication, also as a trusted advisor to key People Organisation stakeholders and partners, and a key connector for cross-business collaboration.

The role focuses on developing various content and key messages, and provide editorial support for key people initiatives, which translate our PVP (People Value Proposition) into compelling and distinctive messaging through innovative communications with tangible outcomes. The role is responsible for support B&C leader to designing, planning and delivering a holistic internal and external communications and engagement plan.

  • Build internal communication strategy to engage existing employees to bring PVP to life, aligning with People Organisation priorities across employee touchpoints.
  • Execute and deliver internal initiatives that celebrate our culture, drive engagement, while supporting key internal stakeholders to deliver effective communications.
  • Responsible for developing, drafting and polish short or long-form copies to land desired key messages at specific audience. Ensure all copies synergise with visuals and graphics for compelling and distinctive effect.
  • Coordinates messaging across internal and external designated channels including social media by working with B&C social media and Workforce campaign team member.
  • Oversee People Organisation(PO) content calendar to make sure all firmwide PO communications are incorporated with PVP; streamline and optimise firmwide PO communication (content, messaging) to enhance employee experience
  • Participate in brainstorming and conceptualisation activities; Support to articulate high level concept into compelling story for internal pitch and presentations, develop appropriate communication plan.
  • Work with the firm’s PR and media team to proactively identify opportunities to promote PwC’s employer brand and act as a single point of contact to manage information requests for interviews and People Organisation related crisis communications
  • Refresh and revise PVP framework on a timely basis based on data analytics.
  • Project manage assigned campaigns to ensure optimal communication efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Leverage existing and propose new and innovative communication channels to engage with and inform employees and potential candidates.

Reporting structure & key relationships

Reports to B&C team leader, works with the People Organisation key stakeholders and maintain critical working relationships within Marketing and Communications fellow colleagues.

Partners within the function to the firmwide People Organisation Leadership Team with a close relationship to the Recruitment (campus and experienced hiring), LoS HR, Wellness, Strategy & Transformation, and key people initiative teams.

Maintains strong relationships with key People Organisation stakeholders across China and Hong Kong to ensure consistent alignment and execution of projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree or higher in marketing, communications, journalism discipline with min. 4 years of experience.
  • Previous experience in corporate communications or content/copy oriented agency position serving senior management, preferably in MNC or professional services firm.
  • Proven record of superior copy writing skills (creative copywriting is plus) with close attention to detail.
  • Sound understanding of business priorities and objectives and the ability to develop target audience focused integrated communications.
  • Strong project management skills to design, lead and implement employer branding initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and research abilities; able to quickly digest information and produce ideas and content for consultation and execution.
  • Agility to adapt and prioritise multiple workstreams, and the ability to deliver in a fast-moving and constantly changing environment.
  • Ability to communicate with impact to peer groups as well as influence and collaborate with leaders, executives, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong relationship and interpersonal skills, cultural dexterity to operate in mainland China and Hong Kong.
  • Excellent writing proficiency in English; Proficiency in written and verbal Mandarin Chinese.
  • Strategic thinking, and ‘reimagine the possible’ mindset to innovate.
