Qualification Requirements:

• Have a bachelor 's degree from a university in Hong Kong, or equivalent;
• Possess "level 3" or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong
• Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE), or equivalent.
• Have good written commands in Chinese and English;
• Can speak fluent Cantonese, Putonghua and English;
• Have at least 18 months of post-qualification full-time working experience.
• Be self-motivated, mature and capable to work independently and in a team;
• Possess a customer-focused orientation and good communication skills;
• Have knowledge of computer skills and good knowledge in common application software such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, etc. Good knowledge and searching skills of the

Main Job Responsibility:

• To assist the officer-in-charge of the SSPPL, i.e. the Librarian, in the project of preparation for commissioning and venue operation of the new library, SSPPL;
• To handle the building management duties in SSPPL and [he common area of Sham Shui PO Leisure & Cultural Building under the management and maintenance of SSPPL, and when necessary with electrical and mechanical system and fire system checking, to ensure all the fixtures al SSPPL and the common area in proper conditions, with record of defects report and irregularities found;
• To liaise and follow up with on-site staff of other works departments and supervise the services contractors in the arrangement of various building repair, maintenance, upgrading and improvement works; as well as House Management services provided by the security and cleansing contractors, and monitor the performance of contractors according 10 the work schedule to ensure the efficiency, order and safely of the building works and avoid disturbance to library users;
• To assist in hiring of various services and acquisition of furniture, equipment and miscellaneous supplies, including drafting the specifications, communicating with suppliers to ensure the quality of goods and services and their compliance with the library requirements;
• To assist in preparation for [he library internal-filling and monitoring its progress and smooth operation before and after the opening of the new library to the public;
• To coordinate with other sections, departments, contractors and external organisations in matters relating to the opening of the SSPPL, and to liaise with other joint-users for maintenance and management issues in the common area of the Sham Shui PO Leisure & Cultural Building;
• To attend to service areas for functions/works/incidents and assist in accident/ incident investigation; to perform shift duties and emergency duties when required, such as responding Co false alarms, mosquitoes problem and fire drill, etc. ,
• To handle public enquiries and complaints related to venue and building management as well as supervising the work of supporting staff and arranging and conducting training related to venue and housing management;
• To perform any other duties as assigned by senior officers.
