We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Manager to join our Transaction Services team to report into the Head of Investor Operations.

Shareholder Information is an exciting role in the share registry business where you’ll be working with relationship management, corporate services and investor services looking after the interest of issuers and their shareholders.

A role you will love

As a Senior Manager, your role is to service and improve all payment and share aspects of shareholders including business continuity with more than sufficient contingency plans. You will act as point of escalation of exception and non-conformities resulting from legacy practices and processes. You will also address escalated matters in accordance with relevant handling procedures, code of conduct and ensure timely follow up and until satisfactory closure of the matter.

You will review, flag and work with relevant functions to address exception and aging from independent reconciliation and checksum methodologies. It is also crucial to identify signs of potential issue, near miss and red flags in resolve any inherent or emerging risks.

It is crucial to stay abreast of regulatory and tax development to effectively evoke communication and changes required to be in full compliance. Operate the client and non-client tax reporting working together with internal and external tax SMEs and business owners such as registry and plans. You will need to establish, maintain and perform independent control assessment of relevant functions with agreed-upon Process, Risk, Control and Monitoring Methodologies, Escalation and Remediation Plan for exceptions, potential issue, near miss, red flags, inherent or emerging risks

Some of your key responsibilities will include:  

  • Track and assess key performance and control indicators as part of the control assessment to help relevant functions including service providers to maintain an acceptable risk level in the daily operating environment
  • Work with risk and compliance on necessary reporting, programs and deliverables to assess the applicability, appropriateness and timeliness to avoid any miss and non-compliance
  • Take up projects, drive initiatives where assigned to and key support to new product development
  • Work in close partnership with different offices mainly in Australia, UK and the US
  • Keep all relevant functions up to audit readiness at all time

What will you bring to the role?   

A key interest in growing your career in the share registry and issuer space. Your strategic thinking and strong problem-solving skills and articulation will be fully utilized for success in this role.

Other key skills required for the role include:

  • 8-10 years of relevant or transferable experience from international firms or financial institutional. Audit and Governance experience is an advantage
  • Highly adaptive in harmonizing experience and way of doing things with Computershare’s culture and do only the right thing
  • Conversant in English, Mandarin and Cantonese and in writing
