Job Description

Department: Human Resources Department

We are looking for a talented and energetic candidate with an open-mindset and aspirations in developing a career in the HR field to join the Air Hong Kong Family.

The ideal candidate will provide support and be offered an opportunity to be engaged in the full spectrum of the HR functions, from recruitment, on-boarding, employee relations/well-being support and employee records and benefits administration.

In support of the potential growth of the airline, the HR team will play an increasingly crucial role in looking after the well-being and needs of our diverse multinational community of pilots and ground staff. Of equal importance is our capability in achieving and promoting operations excellence, customer centricity and a high performing culture. The incumbent will play a proactive role in seeking to understand the internal customers' needs, assist in resolving work-related issues with an ultimate objective of promoting positive employee relations and well-being.

Key Accountabilities

Be part of the HR team in support of a smooth administration and operation of the end-to-end HR processes, in the functional areas of recruitment, employee engagement, Compensation & Benefits, and general HR administrative service for all AHK pilots and ground employees.
  • Support the implementation of compensation and benefits programs including administration of payroll, provident fund and taxation matters in the appropriate jurisdictions.
  • Maintain confidential records contained in the AHK HR system throughout the employment cycle.
  • Provide support for the full employment cycle of AHK employees- day-to-day administrative support on HR functions and internal customers’ requests in a timely and effective manner.
  • Efficient delivery of various administrative functions including licensing and employment visa administration, insurance policy administration, filing and office administration.
  • Communicate with staff at all levels to gain feedback on internal customer service standards and work on areas for improvement.
  • Follow up on staff issues to ensure that staff well-being is being looked after, and be well-versed of the company's policies and practices in upholding the company's standards.
  • Work in collaboration with team-mates on coordinating staff events and initiatives to promote employee engagement.
  • Provide support on the enhancement and maintenance of HR systems and ensure its effectiveness and responsiveness in facilitating HR processes.
  • Liaise with external vendors on contract renewal and ensure smooth operations of outsourced services.
  • Involve in projects and initiatives for continuous improvement.

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies

The ideal candidate will be part of our HR team, it’s a small team and yet without any limits in creating a positive impact and developing best practices. He/she will be motivated in excelling into a people role and possesses the following attributes:

  • Tertiary education
  • 2 - 3 years of relevant experience
  • Candidate with more experience may be considered for the post of Human Resources Specialist
  • Well-versed in the Hong Kong Employment Ordinance, preferably with knowledge of other ordinances under the Hong Kong legislative framework (e.g. PDPO, EOC, etc)
  • Good organization and administrative skills, including computer literacy (proficiency in MS Office, desirably with interests and knowledge on HR related digital systems and tools)
  • Excellent customer service mindset and skills, with strong drive for continuous improvement
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and enjoys reaching out to interact and build partnerships
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to details
  • Possesses objective critical thinking skills and the maturity in resolving people issues in a sensitive and professional manner
  • A self-starter with can-do spirit and open mindedness
Other Requirements
  • Hong Kong permanent resident status
  • Would have completed 3rd booster of the Covid vaccine, or two doses of Covid vaccine with exemption due to previous Covid infection
