Job Description

Kowloon Junior School Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is now seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join us from November 2022. The post holder will be the main person to manage our PTA office on a daily basis, under the supervision of our PTA Chair. The position may be filled on a full-time basis, but suitable part-time candidates may also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • To assist in the day-to-day procurement activities, accounting operations and yearly audits
  • To liaise with external parties e.g. caterers, suppliers, auditors, government officials, etc
  • To plan, prepare and run PTA events
  • To handle parent inquiries and keep them informed about news & special arrangements
  • To serve as a secretary to the PTA Committee and attend meetings as required

Requirements

Essential criteria

  • Tertiary educated with at least 3-year working experience with proven administrative and/or secretarial support experience
  • Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken
  • Good interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Confidence in learning new computer systems
  • Experience in multicultural working environment
  • Permanent resident or holder of a valid dependent visa who is not prohibited from taking up an employment in Hong Kong

Desirable Criteria

  • Fluency in Cantonese and Mandarin
  • Possess a sound knowledge of bookkeeping and procurement
  • A fast and eager learner who is able to communicate with confidence and positivity
  • Experience in organising meetings and taking minutes

In addition to the above criteria, the successful candidate should be

  • Customer service focused
  • Detail-minded and committed to follow up
  • Able to take initiative and handle all assigned work in a logical, planned way
  • Able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and work overtime if needed
