Job Description

Working in the Corporate HR Department of Chevalier Group, the incumbent will report to the Department Head and be responsible for the following:

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the HR functions of Construction/ E&M Engineering businesses
  • Be a strategic partner and work closely with designated Construction/Engineering subsidiaries, identify and drive HR initiatives, formulate HR policies and provide solutions in response to the needs and changes of the industry
  • Formulate talent acquisition and development plan, give advice and support to recruitment activities and the implementation of retention policies
  • Play an advisory role while handling all sorts of employment related issues, labour disputes and employees compensation cases
  • Familiar with new HR related legislation, anticipate changes and recommend proper actions and measures to be taken
  • Manage and review payroll administration process to achieve high level of efficiency
  • Supervise or take part in ad hoc HR projects of the Group

Requirements

  • Holder of Bachelor Degree in Human Resources, Training, Business Administration or other related discipline
  • 10 years of experience in HR, of which 3 years in managerial capacity preferable in sizable company 
  • HR exposure in the Construction or E&M Engineering sector  
  • Proven experience in talent acquisition and management
  • Knowledge in C&B, well-versed in Employment Ordinance, Employees Compensation Ordinance and other HR related practices and regulations
  • Proactive, mature, dynamic and analytical-minded, capable to lead and coach the team to achieve targets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable to deal with all levels of staff especially the managerial level
  • Good writing skills in English and Chinese

Candidates with less experience may be considered for the position of Assistant HR Manager.
