The Job:

Reporting to the CEO, the Sports Executive will lead a small team to ensure the smooth running of our school programs, local leagues and overseas tours and competitions. Specifically, you will:

• Work with program managers to plan and organise events, leagues and competitions.
• Drive the execution of events, leagues and competitions.
• Evaluate and compile reports on budgeted programs.
• Generate ideas to facilitate netball development in Hong Kong.
• Support the CEO in daily operations and running of the office.

• Comfortable working with targets and deadlines.
• Confident engaging with multiple stakeholders of different background and level.
• Able to communicate in English and Cantonese.
• Adaptive and flexible.

The Requirements:

• An accredited Associate Degree from a Hong Kong tertiary institution/a Higher Diploma from a polytechnic university or polytechnic in Hong Kong or Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education or equivalent
• Experience working at National Sports Association an advantage
• LCCI qualification an advantage

In Hong Kong, there are approximately 1,200 people playing the game of netball at various levels. The Hong Kong Netball League has 6 divisions and runs from October to April every year. Inter-school competitions and Junior Netball League are held every year in which local, ESF, international schools will participate. Some players will choose to play for one of the netball clubs in HK. There are also the Netball Development Tournament and Festival of Sports Netball Tournament in which a lot of local Chinese Netballers will make their debut appearance.

The Hong Kong Netball Association (HKNA) is keen to promote the sport and encourage more local people to experience this fast and exciting game. Currently the HKNA is running the "Schools Netball Promotion Programme" which focuses on promotion at Secondary Schools. Netball is also one of the Easy Sport under the Leisure and Cultural Services Department's "Schools Sports Programme".

Hong Kong also has two National Representative teams (Open and Youth) that competes in the Asian Netball Championships, which runs every 4 years. HK will aim to host the Tri-Nations International Netball Tournament every year since it's inception in 2012
