Job Description

We are looking for a high caliber individual who is dynamic, analytical and innovative to join the HR Transformation team in our Group Human Resources. This role is a key contributor to the evolution of the HR organization and supporting the Utility of the Future and reporting to the Head of HR Transformation. 

The purpose of this job is to design, implement, manage and govern a progressive and efficient People Services operation whilst ensuring consistent employee experience within all appropriate aspects of the end-to-end employee lifecycle. This role is a key contributor to transform CLP’s Hong Kong based HR function from a function of service delivery to a driver of strategic talent, business outcomes and employee experience.  The key responsibilities and requirements of the position are summarized as follows:                                 

Responsibilities:

  • Define operational direction of People Services, including defining the operational model, process design and improvement, systems of work and technology, team leadership and talent management.
  • Define service level agreements, determining control standards and identifying issue escalation matrix in collaboration with relevant departments.
  • Define, monitor, and ensure the delivery of a comprehensive set of performance metrics that are relevant to the People Services operational model.
  • Establish standards and procedures for handling team member questions, transactions, and administration of People Operations programs.
  • Ensure systems and HR services working together seamlessly to achieve an exceptional employee experience during the entire life cycle of employment.
  • Works closely with HR leaders to ensure alignment and implementation of workforce strategies, actively leveraging HR metrics and analytics to support data-based decisions.
  • Drive HR People Services process optimization and standardization while balancing the needs of the business.
  • Lead a team of People Services professionals to deliver an accurate customer service to the broader People team/s, and to achieve improvements in the team's performance.
  • To initiate and drive process improvement, policy/program development & review and system enhancement initiatives.
  • Promote a high-performance culture, with a focus on team collaboration, simplicity, ongoing improvement and creating an excellent employee experience
Requirements:
  • A recognized university degree holder, preferably in Human Resources Management or Business Management.
  • 12+ years of working experience with focus on HR service delivery, HR Operations, Payroll & HRIS management in sizeable multinational organizations.
  • Self-motivated and committed to drive change, develop new level of standards and new way of working.
  • Ability to manage and administer a broad range of tasks including resolving complex issues, complaints, and interpreting policies and procedures.
  • Demonstration of proactive, positive & balanced approach in managing stakeholders & relationships.
  • Good command of written and spoken English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
  • Well-versed in HK Employment Ordinance and HR practices.
  • Commitment to delivery of quality/accurate work products.
  • Ability to appreciate and seek out the strengths, opinions, and ideas of a diverse population when formulating solutions.
  • Capability to lead a sizeable team of HR operational staff to deliver transaction services.
