Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible of development of the new Gold Jewelry collections from the briefing to the arrival in the market
- Source suppliers for finished products and components;
- Redevelop existing collections when necessary
- Monitor the quality and manage vendors to make sure supplies are produced in accordance to the requirements
- Selection of styles for new collections, visiting factories and attending exhibitions and fairs
- Ensure the Gold Jewelry materials meet the relevant statutory and/or users’ requirements and manage all matters relating to the material specification, standards, testing and validation; including finished products and components
- Work to match marketing requirements including quotations, samples and orders follow up
- Developing of a suitable suppliers’ strategy and roadmap
- Liaise, work and follow up closely with Region / Headquarter in terms of stock request and other related merchandising and stock issues
- Ensure logistics flows, shipments and processes are optimized and look for continuous improvement in order to shorten the lead time
- Negotiate allocation with Region / HQ to meet assortment and firm orders’ needs.
- Handle a Team of R&D people on Hong Kong and/or Mainland China
- Coordinate the whole supply chain job together with the QC Team, PMC Team, Accounting team and Logistic Team to guarantee the arrival of the jewelry production to the market.
- Report to the General Manager and Managing Director of the Company
QUALIFICATIONS:
- F.7 or above Bachelor Degree
- With 5 years’ experience in Fine Jewelry, development and purchasing
- Experience in diamonds, pearls, semi-precious stones and gold is an advantage
- Organized, systematic oriented and efficient, with a strong sense of responsibility and excellent team work spirit
- Ability to pay attention to details and caution to accuracy
- Teamworking skills and Project management skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Proficiency in written and spoken Cantonese, English and Mandarin
- Familiar in using of MS Office, mainly MS Excel
- Knowledge of SAP system will be considered as an advantage
- Knowledge of Fine Jewelry European market will be considered as an advantage
- Travel to factories in Shenzhen, Dongguan, Guangzhou and South-East Asia is required
