Job Description

Duties
The appointee will be required but not limited to:
  1. be responsible for the planning, design and project management of the campus development;
  2. prepare project briefs and specifications in line with the Campus’s requirements, as well as manage/monitor the progress and quality of capital works projects, alterations and additions (A&A) works projects from inception to completion, including the furnishing and fitting-out works of buildings;
  3. prepare sketches, detailed technical specifications, drawings and tender document for procurement;
  4. manage the tendering and selection process for the capital and A&A works to ensure the projects are delivered on time, within budgets and comply with the Campus’s quality and safety requirements;
  5. collaborate with other internal stakeholders in the design and management of projects so as to uphold their quality and safety standards;
  6. prepare paper and proposals to seek management’s approval;
  7. organize and supervise contractors to carry out the works in good progress and quality;
  8. provide professional advice and support to other project teams as necessary;
  9. attend to typhoon or emergency duty and work on irregular hours including Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays if needed; and
  10. perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Applicants should:

  1. possess a Bachelor’s degree in Building Studies / Building Surveying / Building Services / Architectural Studies / Construction Management / Engineering Management or related discipline;
  2. have at least 5 years of relevant hands-on experience in all aspects in supervision and management of renovation and electrical and mechanical works;
  3. have previous job experience in A&A works, interior and exterior renovations and / or experience gained in facilities management offices of local tertiary educational institutions;
  4. be able to work independently and is confident to liaise with clients, consultants and especially the contractors and suppliers etc.;
  5. have good interpersonal and communication skills;
  6. have good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;
  7. be proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel and other related software; and
  8. preference will be given to candidate who can handle both building works and building services works.

Salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
