Job Description

Administrative Officer (Research Studies) in the Chow Yei Ching School of Graduate Studies [Ref. C/759/03]Duties

The appointee will provide support to the School’s promotion and development, administration of various collaboration schemes, and daily operations related to postgraduate programs.  Main duties include:

1. Alumni Affairs:
  • Explore, plan and develop operable strategies to consolidate and diversify the relationships with graduates, by using available information and resources
  • Collaborate with internal and external parties to complete, update and maintain the alumni database (detailed profile, comprehensive achievements, etc.), and provide support to alumni affairs as well as promotion events; and
  • Work with the team to facilitate alumni interactions with students and the industry.
2. Digital Promotion:
  • Collaborate with internal and external parties to conceptualize/write/edit/fact-check/produce compelling publicity materials, such as news, articles, videos, presentation slides, etc. as required by following audience-targeted and media-specific strategies for diverse promotion activities;
  • Collaborate with IT officers in the School to propose appropriate visual, textual, and animated/graphical elements on developing and updating website content; and
  • Develop and manage social media assets, including the planning, production, and curation of platform-appropriate content, and community management.
Requirements
  1. A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Marketing Communications/Business/Computer Science or related fields;
  2. At least 5 years of experience in alumni relations;
  3. Demonstrated experience in using and creating content for social media platforms, and ability to do basic analytics;
  4. Knowledge of databases, research, social media, web pages, spreadsheets, and presentations;
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, etc.;
  6. Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment within tight deadlines;
  7. Demonstrated proactive problem-solving and critical thinking skills;
  8. Independence and being self-initiative;
  9. Good team player, positive attitude, and self-motivation;
  10. Outstanding spoken and written communication skills in both English and Chinese (including Putonghua), and possession of a creative flair; and
  11. Strong ethics and ability to manage sensitive and/or confidential information;
  12. Preference will be given to candidate with qualifications in areas like digital marketing or new media management.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
