Job Description

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The holder will be responsible for the overall programme administration & operation. The holder will also be required to develop and implement effective programme administration and responsive student support services in addition to supervision of the support staff and other duties as may be required from time to time by the Regional Director.

Major duties include(s):

  • Responsible for programme and student administration including teaching supports to academics and students
  • Plan and implement all teaching and students’ activities eg registration, workshops, seminars, orientations, graduations and budget control etc
  • Collect and analysis data; preparing reports and maintaining records.
  • Monitor and provide timely learning support to students eg counselling service
  • Supervise junior staff in all students related duties
  • Liaison with internal and external parties eg oversea centres and local authorities. 
  • The appointee is also expected to support any ad hoc duties as assigned by the supervisor(s).

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience

The person appointed should:

  • Degree level. Good command in both spoken and written English and Chinese, fluency in Putonghua.
  • Minimum 5 years administrative experience within adult education or tertiary institution sector; experience in multi-national companies is an advantage.
  • Ability to work strategically, tactically and creatively to meet agreed objectives.
  • Demonstrate the ability to build strong business relations.
  • Pro-active, innovative and with positive ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Attentive to details, patience and service orientated with strong sense of responsibility and commitment.
  • Good organisation, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Mature, confident and reliable;  able to work independently and under pressure with tight schedule.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to adapt to changes.
  • Proficiency of IT skills with experience of using online systems.
  • Outgoing, willing to travel and a flexible attitude to working overtime on occasion Saturday/Sunday/Public Holidays with compensation leaves.
