Job Description

1. Innovation and Technology Commission

Official Title: Assistant Manager (basic Employment Ordinance benefits), under agency payroll

Reference: Research Talent Hub (Work location Kwun Tong * near NGAU TAU KOK MTR)

Responsibilities:

-    A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent;
-    Level 3 or above in Chinese Language and English in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or Grade D in Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) or equivalent;
-    At least 3 years of post-degree working experience;
-    Proficient in both written and spoken Chinese and English;
-    Good communication skills; and
-    Sound knowledge of IT systems and skills in application of computer software such as
Microsoft Office and Chinese Word Processing.

(B) Duration of Contract     -    9 months

(C) Job Duties

Agency AMs are mainly responsible for carrying out the following duties -

-    To  assist  in  the  implementation  of  the  *Research  Talent  Hub*  for  Incubatees  and Innovation and Technology Tenants of the *Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation and the Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited (RTH-SPC)* and/or other funding schemes under the Innovation and Technology Fund;

-    To assist in administering the online application and project administration system for the RTH-SPC and/or other funding schemes under the Innovation and Technology Fund and to assist in customer services in relation to the implementation of these programmes, handling enquiries and/or complaints, and conducting surveys to collect feedbacks on these programmes;

-    To assist in the publicity and promotion of the RTH-SPC and/or other funding schemes under the Innovation and Technology Fund, and in the compilation of relevant briefing materials, statistics and financial estimates, etc; and

-      To perform other duties as required by senior officers.

2. Innovation and Technology Commission

Position: Assistant Manager (AM)  (basic Employment Ordinance benefits, under agency payroll)

Reference: Capital Works Section, Wanchai (Shui On)


Responsibilities:

(A) Entry Requirements

-    A degree from a HongKong university, or equivalent, preferably in Science/Engineering/Building/Planning or related discipline;
-    Good oral and written communication skills in both Chinese and English, and having met the language proficiency requirements of Level 3 or above in both Chinese Language and English  Language in  the Hong Kong Diploma  of Secondary Education  Examination (HKDSEE), or Grade D in HKCEE equivalent; 
-    Good problem solving and analytical skills, working independently as well as within a team;
-    Good awareness of local and overseas development trends of innovation, technology and industry; and
-    Preference would be given to candidates with 3 years of related experience:
    post-qualification   working   experience   in   the   planning,   administration   or management of capital works and commercial/industrial works projects; or
      experience in government or quasi-government bodies.

(B) Duration of Contract       -    9 months   (agency payroll)

(C) Job Duties

Agency AM is mainly responsible for carrying out the following duties -
-    To handle administrative and secretarial duties relating to the capital works projects, planning studies and other assignments undertaken by the Capital Works Section;
-      To coordinate the necessary estimates, schedules, returns and replies relating to the
planning and development of HKSTPC’s capital works projects;
-    To provide assistance in the vetting of papers, tenders, agreements and other works-related documents submitted by HKSTPC;
-    To assist in the preparation of policy papers and supporting documents on the capital works projects for meetings of LegCo panels and committees;
-      To assist in the supervision of clerical staff, co-ordination of returns and filing;
-      To assist in the office management duties of the Infrastructure Division; and
-      To perform any other duties as required by senior officers.
