About the role

Our customer is a bulge bracket US Investment Bank. As a Trade Floor Support Engineer, you will be responsible for the End User computing for the banks trade floor. You will ensure that applications and infrastructure are operating to meet the needs of the banks business. You’ll also be responsible for day-to-day support of the users, incident and outage management, and change management.

This is a very dynamic fast-paced environment requiring high energy individuals with desktop skills to support Traders.

Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential along with strong technical troubleshooting abilities.

What will you be doing?

  • Supporting the production environment and user base of the Trade Floor.
  • Support for Virtual Desktop, PCs, laptops, including all related hardware such as thin clients, software installs and support as well as mobility and BYOD requirements.
  • Second level support for all calls not able to be handled by service desk.
  • Work collaborative with the team and provide the best support experience to the clients with customer focused.
  • OS patching and support.
  • Anti-virus patching and support.
  • Application installs, upgrade, and troubleshooting.

Requirements:

  • Degree holder / Tertiary education in IT related areas.
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in client-facing IT helpdesk environment.
  • Strong command of both spoken and written English.
