VP, Regulatory Reporting, Private Banking

Key Accountabilities

• Manage the accurate production and prompt submission of regulatory returns, surveys and disclosure requirements to the HKMA
• Manage the capital management, reporting and related projects/initiatives, including ICAAP and recovery plan
• Ensure financial compliance of the Hong Kong Banking Legislation, HKMA Supervisory Policy Manual and Pillar 3 disclosures
• Formulate the policies and procedures related regulatory reporting compliance
• Prepare information to the senior management, various committee and Board
• Provide timely response to the HKMA’s enquiry and consultation papers
• Keep abreast of change of regulatory reporting requirements, conduct relevant impact analysis, and drive and coordinate the implementation of requirements
• Support new product review process
• Liaise with internal/external auditors
• Active involvement in system development on core banking platform, regulatory reporting and change projects

Skills & Experience

• Degree holder and above in accounting, finance or related area
• Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in financial and regulatory reporting in banking industry
• Demonstrates expert industry knowledge and leverages regulatory and business experience and technical expertise to challenge the norm.
• Familiar with HKMA and BASEL requirements
• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills and ability to interact with team members at all levels and achieve goals without direct control over resources in some cases.
• Prioritizes issues management, analyses, and team capacity.
• Efficient skills using MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio tools; SQL, VBA, Tableau (are a plus).
• Proficiency in both English and Chinese
• Strong leadership, analytical, organizational and presentation skills.
