As the functional lead in Corporate Communications and External Relations to drive the overall strategy and plan in media relations, corporate branding and external communications to increase brand visibility. Formulate external communications strategy and plan that is aligned with the Group’s corporate strategy, working closely with senior team and major functions to ensure the planning and execution of communications are timely, accurate and effective. Manage media relations proactively to build network and trust with journalists especially in the financial media. Develop strategic initiatives with press and propose effective media angle to enhance corporate branding. Think and write creatively about industry issues or investment thought leadership in a variety of media, including but not limited to press releases, briefing documents, social media posts and other literature. Play a key role in corporate branding initiatives and be a brand champion internally and externally. Support the investor relations function to ensure major investor initiatives and materials are coordinated and communicated in an efficient and effective manner. Develop and execute internal communications plans that support the business strategy, including implementing new channels, programs and utilizing best practices. Measure and analyze qualitative and quantitative media and social media impact. Monitor corporate social media accounts and conversation alerts, and provide quick and appropriate responses.
To be considered, you should be a degree holder with major in marketing, communications, journalism or relevant field. A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in corporate communications, public relations or investor relations. Experience in Financial Institutions PR, asset management, or listed company is essential. Strong sensitivity on news, trend, online and social media from a corporate reputation perspective. Ability to translate complex messages into compelling stories that will resonate with the media and on social channels. Established connections with media outlets, and track record in building relationships with consultants and external stakeholders. Excellent command in English and Chinese, both written and verbal. Knowledge in Putonghua is essential.
