Job Description
This role is for one leading Chinese financial instituation and has been created because the team wants to bring on someone with a strong macro strategy background that can help with idea generation, as well as building out tools & frameworks to help contribute to the overall performance of the team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct research that closely monitor the economic conditions, the politics and economic policy changes.
- Conduct research and analyses on economic data/trends and provides recommendations based on expertise
- Conduct and support econometric statistical, forecast modelling and impact analyses
- Work closely with global asset allocation teams to generate report for senior management
- Formulate trend perspectives of the key related market movements based on the fundamental and technical analysis
- Draft both thematic reports and short notes on economic and market observations
- Good at presenting market updates in English and Mandarin.
- Master or Bachelor's degree holder in Finance, Economics or other relevant disciplines
- Buy side experience is preferd.
- Strong economic intuition & knowledge of the macro space
- Experience with idea generation, building out tools, models, frameworks & portfolio construction
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in written and spoken English, Chinese & Mandarin.
