On behalf of clients, we are seeking high calibre candidates for the following:   

Positions:  Sr Manager/Manager (PENSIONS Admin/Business Operations/Sales Conduct Assurance/Compliance, LIFE Claims, Proposition, Portfolio Management, Distribution/Group EB) 

Positions offered would be depending on the qualifications and experience of the candidates.     

RESPONSIBILITIES:    

To execute any of the following job functions:  

a).   Senior Manager/Manager (Pensions Administration) 

  • Manage and drive team productivity to achieve/exceed the respective service level agreement. 
  • Streamline the workflow so as to improve efficiency and effectiveness, improving client service and compile with statutory requirement.
  • Develop, coach and provide development opportunities for team members. 
b).  Senior Manager/Manager (Business Operations) 
  • Keep track and follow up on necessary replies/issues to regulatory bodies (e.g. MPFA, SFC, HKTA) 
  • Review information / communication to be provided internally and externally to ensure quality, accuracy, consistency and completeness of information 
  • Conduct investigation on the issues, identify root cause and review rectification and remediation actions 
  • Escalate areas of concern / possible compliance issues to relevant stakeholders

c).  Senior Manager (Sales Conduct Assurance, Group EB) 

  • Handle and investigate MPF or Group Medical businesses complaints against intermediaries 
  • Attend to enquiries and investigations received from the Insurance Authority or the MPFA
  • Filing of intermediary related returns to the MPFA; and 
  • Maintain and promote the conducts of intermediaries through contributions to regular internal newsletter, putting in place suitable controls and implement the same 
  • Perform routine commission claw-back exercise for the avoidance of business churning 
  • Attend regular meetings with the MPF trustee 
  • Develop and maintain departmental procedure, manual and checklist 
  • Support the responsible officer in discharging his duties under the relevant MPF guidelines
  • Perform ad hoc duties & projects assigned by the management

d).  Assistant Manager (Compliance) 

  • Assist the Senior Compliance Manager to oversee and implement compliance control on pension administration and execute compliance program
  • Work with Business Unit to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and corporate requirements and provide strategic advice
  • Support on compliance reporting to internal stakeholders
  • Ad hoc compliance projects

 e).  Claims Manager 

  • To assist the Department Head for managing the claims team
  • To provide quality claims services to both internal and external customers
  • Handle day-to-day claims operations, preparation of various management reports,
  • Adjudicating claims cases with prescribed limit and conducting claims related training to internal and external customers. 
  • To assist in departmental projects/initiatives to ensure continuous improvement of the claims services. 

f).   Senior Manager (Proposition and Partnership) 

  • Take lead of proposition development and medium-long term strategic roadmap of digital initiative
  • Be the champion of partnership development and business cases formulation
  • Lead a small team, covering research & insights, UXUI design, and proposition development functions
  • Formulate a seamless user journey and intuitive interface design of digital initiative
  • Stay abreast of the latest digital and innovation deployment and the latest regulations change in the fintech/ insurtech space
  • Oversee and facilitate digital product development when required 

g).  for  Senior Manager/Manager (Portfolio Management) 

  • Responsible and accountable for designing, implementing and ongoing managing project portfolio management process
  • Ensure all projects portfolio planning, governance and execution is effective
  • Ensure all projects across the portfolio comply with the Change framework
  • Work with project managers proactively to ensure robust project management practices are being followed
  • Partner with stakeholders across the organization to understand priorities and drive execution of business initiatives throughout enterprise domains
  • Provide insight to senior management to help make strategic decisions around project priorities, risk, issues, resource management and corrective action plans
  • Ongoing review and drive performance improvement across the key portfolio management processes

 h).  Business Development Manager (Pensions & Group Business)  
**Less experience  will be considered as <b>Specialist</b>** 

  • Manage the distribution channel to promote Pensions & Group products to potential clients
  • Achieve sales targets by the Company
  • Expand the distribution channel by increasing productivity and no. of productive distributors
  • Supervise subordinate to implement sales & marketing strategies to the distribution channel
  • Design and implement sales & marketing strategies to distribution channel as well as the subsequent monitoring and status update
  • Make recommendation on product/services development / enhancement to ensure the competitiveness of Sun Life’s products in the market
  • Handle the ad-hoc projects as assigned from time to time 

i).   Channel Strategy Manager 

  • Assisting department head on channel strategy support and development,
  • Promoting business development strategies based on business needs and market conditions of insurance industry,
  • Supporting tied agency compensation monitoring,
  • Conducting business data analysis and reporting. 
  • Providing support to referral business from channel and various projects as required.

  j).  Assistant Manager (Business Development, Life Insurance) 

  • Provide professional and efficient support to business partners including consultants and maintain a strong relationship with them
  • Manage assigned Financial Intermediaries and to generate sales growth to achieve sales target
  • Explore & develop new sales opportunity
  • Perform a consultancy role in helping strategic partners to establish or build up their sales team in insurance products
  • Conduct sales training and product briefing to the intermediaries 

REQUIREMENTS:      

A.  General Requirements  
  • Degree holder in BBA, diploma or related disciplines, financial qualifications (e.g. LOMA, ACS, IIQE paper 1, 2, 3 and 4).
  • Good working knowledge of insurance and investment products.
  • Able to work under high pressure with professional business acumen
  • Highly adaptable to changes with a flexible and positive working attitude
  • Good analytical skills with sensitivity to figures
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal & negotiation skills
  • Familiar with MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Proficient level of copy-writing and collateral production knowledge
  • Project management skills and the ability to work with multiple teams
  • Handle ad-hoc assignments  

B.  Experience Requirements  

a).  for Senior Manager (Pensions Administration) requires at least 10 years’ experience in pension industry, a deep and thorough understanding about the MPF business and operation, as well as the prevailing regulations that could have an impact to the operation.

b).   for Senior Manager/Manager (Business Operations) requires at least 8 years of relevant experience, preferably with 2 years of experience in compliance, have industry knowledge of the MPF/ ORSO regulations/ SFO and trust related regulations and concepts would be a definite advantage  

c).  for  Senior Manager (Sales Conduct Assurance, Group EB) requires at least 8 years' working experience in pension industry; 2 years in quality assurance and / or good working knowledge in MPF Ordinance, Insurance Ordinance and good understanding of Hong Kong insurance regulatory framework and experience in dealing with regulators is preferred

d).   for Assistant Manager (Compliance) requires at least 5 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferably in the field of Pension/MPF/Insurance.  Knowledge of Hong Kong legislation, especially MPF, ORSO, AML and PDPO regulations.

e).  for Claims Manager requires at least 7 years of relevant working experience in life or medical claims (at least 3 years at supervisory level), good communication skill with customer-centric mindset, strong analytical and problem solving skills

f).  for Senior Proposition and Partnership Manager requires at least 8 years of relevant experience in digital insurance/ proposition formulation/ strategic partnership development experience, have sufficient knowledge and experience in customer and stakeholder centric approach for proposition formulation. 

g).  for  Senior Manager/Manager (Portfolio Management) requires at least 6 years of hands-on experience in project portfolio management roles, familiar with both Waterfall and Agile development methodologies, experience in influencing change in ways of working / collaboration within a cross-domain / market / functional context

h).  for  Business Development Manager (Pensions & Group Business) requires at least 6 year relevant experience with 2 - 3 years in managerial role, solid working knowledge of MPF & Group Insurance and understand of current market situation, extensive experience of distribution channel management

i).  for Channel Strategy Manager requires at least 7 years or above relevant experience in insurance industry, ability to identify problems and recommend relative solutions to management in proactive manner.

j).  for Assistant Manager (Business Development, Life Insurance) requires at least 8 years in sales and marketing experience in life insurance with solid exposure to Broker and IFA channel, with at least 4 years experience as business development manager role with proven sales record in the FI channel.
