Job Purpose:

The role is to manage strategic and tactical projects within Operations Group (OPG) at the Bank. The person needs to drive improvement on end-to-end operational cost, efficiency, quality, standardization with consideration of risk & control for the Bank. Keep abreast of the development of technology, good market practices and regulatory requirements to lead the initiatives that support the Bank’s strategy and business growth.

Responsibilities

• Drive Operations Group (OPG) to establish governance & transformation framework and roadmap
• Drive Digital Transformation strategy, roadmap to shape the future business and operation
• Act as Change Agent on all transformation initiatives with involvement from Operations.
• Drive the taskforce from project scope, plan and executable actions to support the Bank’s strategic direction such as FinTech transformation for cost and operational efficiency, standardization and business growth.
• Act as a leader and advocate to influence peers for collaboration within the transformation program / project across internal / external partners and stakeholders
• Lead in the liaison with internal BU / SUs and/or external parties to convert opportunities into execution.
• Lead the team in managing, reviewing and maintaining the projects and systems related to OPG to meet up the regulatory requirements and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness.
• Lead OPG in managing overall financial planning, budgeting process and analysis, monitoring and tracking, and management reporting.
• Derive and ensure proper control on procurement and financial approvals.
• Lead and coach the team to deliver the job scope
• Promote agile & data-driven transformation cultural to OPG members.

Requirements

• Degree holder of Information Technology, Business or related disciplines
• Minimum 12 years banking experience in a sizable financial institution
• Prior experience in project management, financial business integration project is a definite advantage.
• Good knowledge in banking operations products and services.
• Expertise in process re-engineering and practices, particularly those systems to support process re-engineering.
• Well-versed with the market trend and situation regarding FinTech / RegTech locally and worldwide.
• Excellent communications and presentation skills as well as interpersonal skills.
• Good spoken Cantonese, English and Chinese with good written Chinese and English.
