Job Description
- Perform credit risk assessment and approval function for retail lending products with focus on mortgage loans
- Recommend credit policy guidelines / workflow simplification to achieve operational efficiency
- Ensure the compliance of regulatory requirement as well as credit policy guidelines in credit assessment
- Work with business departments and front line sales staff in solving issues arising from mortgage loan applications and able to put up with workable recommendation / solutions Support user acceptance test on Loan Application Processing System
- Participate in ad hoc projects as required
- University graduate with major in Business Administration, Finance or related disciplines
- At least 5 years of solid experience in assessing and under-writing mortgage loan applications covering residential and commercial properties in a bank or mortgage under-writing agency
- Familiar with the end to end mortgage loan application process, mortgage loan under-writing / process platform
- Thorough knowledge, understanding and application of mortgage loan credit policy and regulatory requirements
- Good product knowledge and risk exposure in retail banking
- Able to deal with front line sales staff in resolving issues arising from the loan applications and providing workable solutions
- A team player but able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in PC software operations such as MS Office
- Good command in both spoken & written English and Chinese
