Major Responsibilities

• Assist the Head and Deputy Head in setting up governance committees, requisite administrative and regulatory requirements for monitoring project progress
• Liaise with relevant parties, such as local and overseas government agencies, member banks, trade-related industry participants, legal practitioners, company secretaries, etc., on issues related to project operation, management and governance
• Perform day-to-day operation and administration of FinTech projects
• Prepare discussion papers and meeting materials for boards and committees
• Organize workshops and coordinate promotional events
• Perform other duties or projects as assigned

Requirements

• University education with over 10 years of relevant experience preferably in financial institutions or consulting firms of which at least 5 years at managerial level.
• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
• Strong understanding of trade finance industry or SMEs financing is preferred and experience in delivering Fintech project is a plus
• Ability to deal with both business users and technical personnel
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese as well as fluency in Putonghua
• Candidates with less experience may be considered for a junior role

The Hong Kong Interbank Clearing Limited (HKICL) is a private company owned by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) and the Hong Kong Association of Banks (HKAB). The key objective of the company is to develop and operate a safe and efficient multi-currency and multi-dimensional financial infrastructure in Hong Kong. It operates an integrated financial infrastructure platform for:

• interbank large value funds transfers denominated in HKD, USD, Euro and RMB;
• interbank money settlement of equity and debt securities transactions in Hong Kong via linkage established with the Hong Kong Securities Clearing Company Limited and Central Moneymarkets Unit system (CMU);
• interbank small value funds transfer denominated in HKD and RMB, i.e. the HKD and RMB faster payment systems (FPS);
• interbank clearing and/or money settlement of retail payments in Hong Kong such as paper cheques, autodebits, autocredits, credit card payments, etc.; and
• the HKMA’s CMU system, as a computer operator.
