Job Description
- Act as in-house lawyer to provide general legal advice and support, with principal focus on commercial contracts, banking facilities and all other service agreements;
- Draft, review and comment on a full range of legal and commercial documents
- Perform compliance review and control to ensure the fulfillment of SFO and other relevant rules and regulations;
- Identify risk areas and major potential risks of non-compliance, and make recommendation for improvement;
- Provide strategic and legal advice to the Chairman and senior management for development of new business and financial products;
- Liaise with external lawyers and regulatory authorities (e.g. SFC / HKEX) on legal or compliance issues
- Supervise external lawyers to manage litigation or dispute resolution issues;
- Assist in ad-hoc assignments and legal matters as required.
- Degree holder in Law, Finance or related disciplines;
- At least 5 years’relevant experiences preferably gained in law firm or legal and compliance department in banking / financial sectors
- Strong knowledge of laws, court procedures, precedents and government regulations;
- Proactive, responsible, independent with strong market sense and analytical thinking;
- Excellent communication, interpersonal & presentation skills;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software and Chinese Word Processing;
- Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
