Responsibilities

• Responsible for administering a comprehensive regulatory compliance program for performing quantitative analysis, business process reviews and applicable laws and regulations
• Ensure that compliance risks are adequately identified, assessed, monitored and controlled. The individual in this position will be the primary liaison to build collaborative relationships within HKMA.
• Strategizes/develops compliance programs, policies and procedures
• Review business initiatives (such as prepaid card risk / marketing rules and marketing variables) and provide compliance guidance to affiliate partners/distributor
• Conduct compliance reviews, risk assessments and control testing
• High-risk customers\suspicious transaction monitoring report to regulators or JFIU
• Coordinates and conducts compliance-related training
• Apply to the HKMA for new business and obtain approval to carry out relevant business in accordance with the requirements of the HKMA
• Advises on regulatory matters and compliance gaps impacting the business

Requirements

• University graduateor above with major in Law, Banking, Finance or other related disciplines
• Minimum 8 years of banking experience in AML/CFT compliance, preferably inbanks/financial institutions/regulators
• Strong understanding of the Hong Kong regulatory requirements for retail consumer financial services or payment business
• Experience in dealing with the regulators on compliance matters
• Proficient in spoken and written English & Chinese (including Putonghua)
