Bangkok Bank recognizes that effective risk management is fundamental to good banking practice. Accordingly, the Bank has established guidelines for managing risk in each area of its business to ensure that proper risk management mechanisms are in place.

To ensure that our risk management system is effective and in line with international and regulatory standards, we are looking for a suitable candidate to join our Hong Kong Branch overseeing the Risk Management function.

Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on development of risk models involving liquidity, market and operational risks to ensure controls are operating effectively
• Design and implement an overall risk management process for the Branch
• Perform risk assessment by mapping key risks, identification and quantification of risk indicators 
• Develop new capabilities and analytics to improve measurement, understanding and management of risks
• Review, implement and maintain the enterprise-wide business continuity strategies and plans
• Develop and ensure consistent application of risk policies, processes, and procedures throughout the Bank
• Provide training to and advise the business units on risk management issues
• Be responsible for other project-based tasks as assigned

Requirements:

• University degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics or related discipline
• Extensive Banking experience in liquidity, market and operational risk management
• Advance understanding of financial products and regulatory requirements
• ECF on ORM qualification is an advantage
• FRM or CFA qualification an advantage
• Excellent communication, listening and presentation skills
• Highly developed analytical skills with great self-motivation
• Ability to span organizational boundaries to engage others, influence outcomes and drive change 
• Proficiency in MS Office, Excel and data management
• Good command in both verbal and written English
