Our client is a HK listed financial institution with diversified business portfolio. To cope with the business expansion, they are looking for a seasoned, high caliber Compliance professional to join their team. 

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the legal & compliance function to maintain internal procedures and ensure the company’s operations are in accordance with regulations, guidelines, internal policies and procedures;
• Dealing with the regulators to handle the general enquiries, onsite inspection,  thematic review, investigation
• Provide legal and regulatory advices to management and business units on current and new business initiatives for mitigating compliance risks
• Perform follow-up reviews to verify the implementation of recommendations from regulators, external auditors and internal auditors, assist to resolve compliance related findings/ issues identified by them.
• Liaise with local regulators, government authorities and external legal counsel.

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Business Administration, Risk Management, Law or related disciplines;
• Minimum 8 years of legal and compliance experience in financial industry, with 4 years as supervisory level;
• Experience in performing compliance or similar training, development of policies and procedures (and related guidelines), and the conduct of compliance review and investigations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with internal parties;
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
