Our client is a top-tier global insurance firm with strong presence worldwide.  To further strengthen their market positions, the company is looking an experienced Assistant Manager / Manager, Financial Reporting (depending on experience) to join their team.  This position initially starts as 12 months contract roles, with the view to extend or turn into a permanent role.

As an Assistant Manager / Manager, Financial Reporting, you will be responsible for the following:

• Support the month end closing and financial reporting in a timely manner
• Prepare accurate and meaningful financial and policy accounting
• Prepare and submit statutory reports and regulatory returns
• Review financial statements and disclosure notes
• Review and work on IFRS accounting standards
• Extract details from spreadsheets to disclosure notes on financial statements
• Liaise with various local counterparts to ensure timely submission of financial statements
• Support ad-hoc projects, such as enhancing existing accounting processes, etc.
• Review internal controls
• Work on account reconciliations

To be considered as an Assistant Manager / Manager, Financial Reporting, you possess the following:

• Bachelor degree of above in Finance, Accounting or related disciplines
• At 3-8 years of relevant experience
• Relevant experience in financial reporting in insurance companies
• Part/full qualified accountant with CPA/ACA/ACCA or relevant industry qualification is preferred
• Proficient in both spoken and written Chinese and English
• Immediate available candidate will have an added advantage
