Job Description
Key responsibility and Duties
- Develop, implement, validate and monitor different types of credit risk related models to streamline the evaluation of underwriting, account monitoring, provisioning as well as the measurement of portfolio credit risk
- Interprets and analyzes data using exploratory mathematic and statistical techniques based on the scientific method.
- Coordinates research and analytic activities utilizing various data points (unstructured and structured) and employ programming to clean, massage, and organize the data
- Works closely with business units, IT or other internal / external stakeholders to develop strategy for long term data platform architecture.
- On-going monitoring of model performance and provide insights to improve the model
- Participate in regulatory required projects, such as IFRS9, Stress Testing, ICAAP, and etc.
- Ensure critical and relevant information being reported to relevant risk committees in a timely manner for effective board and senior management oversights Experience and Education
Qualification:
- Bachelor or Master degree level in statistics/ economics/ computer science/ risk management or related discipline with outstanding analytical ability.
- 5-8 years of experience in credit risk or model development
- Good understanding and hands-on experience in credit risk management, modelling, IFRS9, MI reporting, stress testing, etc.
- Hands-on experience in SQL, R, Python or SAS
- Strong problem-solving ability; analytical and critical thinking
- Open-minded; team player; willing to challenge status quo and run extra mile
- Strong business sense; good communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in English and Chinese, written and spoken.
