Job Description

Position Summary: 

Report to Head of Financial Accounting and lead a team of 3 subordinates in completion of all accounting / finance matters ensuring compliance with statutory and financial regulations, including accounts payable, overhead disbursements, treasury, taxation, financial reporting and consolidation.

 

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Liaise and work with external auditors to support annual audit
  • Review month-end intercompany reconciliations and balance sheet schedules
  • Prepare and review consolidation journals and reports
  • Provide relevant reports, such as balance sheet and income statement to help support management decision making
  • Assist in the forecast/budget preparation
  • Update accounting policies and strengthen internal control procedures
  • Continually improve and upgrade computerized accounting systems and workflow, act as key finance player in new system implementation projects
  • Assist in monitoring PRC operations
  • Handle ad-hoc accounting assignments

 

Qualifications and Experience:

Experience:

  • At least 7 years of accounting experience, preferably in trading, manufacturing or sourcing
  • Experience of developing and managing a team would be an advantage

Education:

  • Qualified accountant
  • Degree holder in Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline

Skills:

  • Team player with excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Capable of meeting deadlines while managing multiple projects
  • Energetic, mature, self-motivated, hands-on with a high level of integrity and excellent problem solving and oral and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin
  • Strong technical skills with excellent knowledge of auditing, accounting and taxation requirements
  • Change management and continuous improvement champion
  • IT savvy, experience of Microsoft Dynamic 365 or equivalent ERP system preferable
