Job Description

Learning and Participation Officer

 

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Performing Arts (Learning and Participation), the job holder will assist in liaising with working partners and audiences, including artists and arts groups, schools, educational institutions etc., and to actively coordinate with internal departments and PA teams. He / she will also provide operational assistance to the SM who is in charge of a number of L&P projects, be responsible for administrative tasks that support all planned L&P programmes and maintain the day-to-day operations of the team.
 

You will be responsible for:

 

  • assisting in liaising with teams of PA Division to plan and deliver cross-disciplinary audience development, family festivals and community engagement programmes;
  • assisting in liaising with other departments and divisions, potential audience groups, working partners and programme participants;
  • assisting in programme research, delivery and evaluation;
  • ensuring timely delivery of high-quality programmes;
  • maintaining a systematic filing system of projects, including but not limited to filing of photos, videos and preparation of post-event reports; and
  • providing administrative support in all operational aspects of the Learning and Participation team.

 

You should:

 

  • possess a recognised university degree preferably relevant to performing arts, cultural studies, arts and cultural management, marketing, communications, arts education or equivalent;
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in arts and cultural field and knowledge in arts education and outreach programmes is preferred. Experience in volunteer programme co-ordination would be an advantage;
  • Substantial experience in maintaining a network of potential partners and audiences is a plus;
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Strong administrative and multi-tasking skills;
  • Be self-motivated, able to work independently and provide high-quality, timely logistical support and programme delivery;
  • Have passion for the performing arts, with strong self-motivation in accomplishing tasks assigned; and
  • Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese.
