Job Description
Summary of this position:
To be part of the Asia Pacific tax team and engage in various tax planning, structuring, M&A and corporate income tax compliance initiatives. Assist Regional Tax Director to manage tax accounting, formulate and implement regional tax strategy in line with global tax strategy, optimize the tax position, manage country tax compliance and enhance the access to capital for Asia Pacific
Dimensions:
We have establishments in China, Hong Kong, Singapore, India, Japan, Korea, Australia, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and Vietnam.
Job duties:
- Working closely with the accounting team and external tax consultant for corporate income tax return filing for establishments in Asia Pacific
- Handling US GAAP tax accounting for Asia Pacific establishments such as tax provision, Pillar Two modelling, cash tax and return-to-provision
- Supporting US International Income Tax reporting and filing for Asia Pacific establishments
- Implementing Belden Group’s transfer pricing policies and working closely with external tax consultant for preparation of proper transfer pricing documentation for Asia Pacific establishments
- Assisting the formulation and implementation of tax planning initiatives, including group structure rationalization, investment/ divestment and fund repatriation arrangement, tax optimization projects etc, in the Asia Pacific region
- Providing support from corporate income tax and transfer pricing perspectives to different functional and business teams within the Belden Group
Nature & Scope:
This position is primarily concerned with the tax position of the Company from different aspects: business, compliance and treasury. The incumbent must have a good knowledge of tax concepts and tax accounting.
Able to identify tax risks to analyze and evaluate tax optimization solutions and assist to make management decisions for business strategy.
Requirement:
- University graduate with around 5 years tax related working experience, preferable in Big 4 accounting firms and/or multinational corporations
- Hands-on experience in tax compliance, transfer pricing and tax planning
- Knowledge of international tax concepts, such as cash repatriation, tax treaty, foreign tax credit, BEPS 2.0 Pillar Two
- Knowledge in tax accounting for US GAAP is an advantage
- Strong research and technical skills
- Good written and oral communication skills in English and Chinese
