Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

  • This role is responsible for the service development, presales, and service delivery of the in-country LOB (Line of Business), as well as ensuring the smooth delivery of projects. The person in this role is responsible for ensuring that NCS achieves revenue, profitability, quality, and customer satisfaction targets for delivery across the LOBs. To achieve this, the role requires deep knowledge of system integration to bring together cross-functional teams.
  • This role involves managing a team of highly motivated individuals in the analysis, design, development, implementation, and/or maintenance of systems. The ideal candidate should possess superior project management capabilities and a proven track record in assuming overall responsibility for managing projects in the government sector. They should also have "hands-on" knowledge, extensive exposure, and a wealth of experience within vendor and user environments, coupled with a driven and self-motivated personality.


JOBS RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set directions for the service delivery team that is aligned to organization business objectives and lead teams to achieve the departmental targets.
     
  • Innovate and enhance the business application services in Hong Kong so as to remain relevant in present and future market needs.
     
  • Lead and manage the project delivery teams to deliver the revenue and profit targets for the key client account.
     
  • Lead and manage the customer solution team during the pre-tender, tender or trial stages to help in winning new contracts.
     
  • Manage a team of project directors and managers to ensure timely delivery of services to the customers in a cost-effective manner.
     
  • Work closely with LOBs to ensure that qualified resources are in place to meet project requirements.
     
  • Establish a responsive business relationship with customers, including problem reporting, escalation, and resolution processes.
     
  • Manage risk and the impact of customer change requests, identifying all the downstream implications to services, timelines, and costs.
     
  • Manage the service support team for preventive and timely system issue resolution.
     
  • Manage and monitor the budget and control costs to ensure maximum achievement of revenue and margin.
     
  • Close the loop by providing feedback to service and/or product offering teams around competitive intelligence and product/service innovation.
     
  • Constantly look out for new technologies applicable in the sector and work closely with LOBs to ensure that the competency is built for the sector to deploy such technologies, developing deep engineering capabilities in the organization.
     
  • Implement technology risk and control framework for the team.
    Build and maintain strong partner relationships with key vendors and contractors to serve the client's requirements.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
     
  • At least 15 years in the IT industry with proven project management experiences for large projects, highly preferable in the government sector.
     
  • Excellent communication and ability to work well with executive-level and management staff.
     
  • Client-focused and strong organizational and project management skills.
     
  • Ability to lead multiple teams to deliver robust IT services.
     
  • Possessing PMP certification and ITIL certification would be an advantage.
