Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Acting as the solution lead for system analysis, maintenance, upgrade, quality assurance, and user support on various core insurance systems.
- Collaborating with business users, vendors, and other IT teams, including local, regional, and third parties, to ensure successful project and service delivery.
- Creating system documentation, such as project management plans, costing analyses, design specifications, and test plans.
- Reporting to supervisors and assisting in management activities, including project and resource planning, project tracking and monitoring, and team building.
Requirements:
- A degree in Computer Science or related disciplines.
- A minimum of 6 years of work experience in Information Technology, preferably in insurance, banking, or finance sectors.
- Solid experience in application development and maintenance of life policy administration systems, preferably in the reinsurance domain.
- Hands-on experience and skills in Oracle SQL and database administration, IBM Websphere, JSF2, Java, and Unix platform.
- Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Agile methodology.
- Knowledge of Azure cloud services (e.g., AzureDevOps, PostgreSQL, containers, etc.) is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.
- Objective-oriented, willing to learn, and adaptable to new ways of working.
