Role Description

COMETA TECHNOLOGY is seeking several full-time Metaverse Engineers or Scientists to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Developing, integrating and maintaining different components of the Metaverse such as graphics, physics, sound, and networking. 
• Provide direction to technical staff, or lead a team
• Contribute to R&D projects, write research proposal, produce technical reports and presentations, and present results to higher management
• Provide technical leadership to personnel, support the assigned project, become technically engaged with other functional groups to maintain efficient project execution, and collaborate with other departments
• Support business strategic planning as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and participate in creating strategic partnerships in key topic areas as needed
• Mentor and educate less experienced engineering work force on Metaverse system
• Utilize the Metaverse platform to showcase the relevant interdisciplinary knowledge, research process, progress, and outcomes

This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and experience groundbreaking innovations in the field of virtual reality and augmented reality. This role is located in Hong Kong SAR and is an on-site position.

这是一个在虚拟现实和增强现实领域从事前沿技术工作并体验突破性创新的机会。这一职位位于香港特别行政区，是一个现场职位。

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science or Science or Engineering or EdTech or a related field (Candidates who hold a Strong Master's degree will also be considered)
• Proficient in C++, C#, Java, and Python
• 3+ years of experience in software and game development and experience with 3D graphics and gaming engines such as Unity and Unreal Engine
• Demonstrated expertise in Metaverse development and virtual worlds
• Strong knowledge of 3D graphics, computer vision, rendering pipelines, AI and machine learning
• Experience with network programming and distributed systems
• Experience with blockchain and cryptocurrency is a plus
• Ability to work well in a team and excellent communication skills
• Proficient in both English and Chinese is preferred
• Candidates with interdisciplinary backgrounds and teaching experience are preferred
