Job Description

Responsibilities:
 

  • Develop and execute comprehensive communication programs plans to effectively convey the Oxfam's work against poverty and related injustice in mainland China, Hong Kong.
  • Provide support in appeal for crisis communications, including monitoring online conversations, drafting statements, and coordinating responses.
  • Create engaging and compelling content for offline and online media including Press release, posts, articles that align with the organization's brand guidelines and resonate with the target audience.
  • Manage and maintain social media platforms, including content creation, scheduling, community management, and monitoring analytics.
  • Implement social media campaign to increase reach, engagement, and followership. 
  • Maintain and update the organization's website content, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and an optimal user experience.
  • Conduct regular website audits to identify areas for improvement, such as SEO, user experience, and performance.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors for website design, development, and maintenance activities, including the launch of new pages, features, or functionalities.
  • Track and analyze social media metrics and provide regular reports on the performance and effectiveness of social media campaigns.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in social media, digital communications, and emerging technologies, and identify opportunities to incorporate them into our digital strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and create content for various communication channels, both online and offline.
  • Take on additional tasks and assignments as requested by the Communications Manager.

 

Requirements:
 

  • Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field, with at least 5 years’ relevant working experience.
  • Proven experience in managing website and social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube) for an organization or brand.
  • Proficiency in using website and social media management tools, analytics platforms, and content creation/editing software with strong analytical skills to track and measure.
  • With the ability to create engaging content tailored to different media platforms and target audiences.
  • Knowledge of SEO principles and their application to social media content is a plus.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • With a creative mindset and ability to think outside the box. 
  • Excellent spoken and written English and Chinese including Putonghua. 
  • Proficient in computer applications including MS Office and Chinese word processing.
  • Identification with Oxfam’s mission and vision is a must.
