Requirements:

• Obtained an approved Laboratory Technician Certificate or an equivalent qualification
• Meet the entry requirements prescribed by the Education Bureau
• A Grade E / 2 or above in five subjects in the HKCEE / HKDSE (including Chinese, English and two science subjects), or equivalent
• Relevant qualifications (e.g. first aid certificate) and previous experience in working with students in an educational setting would be an advantage

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in planning, trying out and conducting science experiments and relevant demonstrations, as well as other science-related activities
• Prepare, update and manage science-related materials and resources
• Prepare, construct, operate and maintain laboratory apparatus and equipment, and to conduct routine laboratory tests
• Assist in the purchase of laboratory apparatus, equipment and other items necessary for laboratories
• Keep stores and inventory in laboratories, and to carry out annual stocktaking of all stores and equipment in laboratories
• Be responsible for all safeguarding in laboratories
• Provide support on the promotion and monitoring of laboratory safety
