Job Description
Fusion Bank Limited (“Fusion Bank”) is a licensed virtual bank in Hong Kong and a joint venture between Tencent Holdings Limited, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Asia) Limited, Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited, Hillhouse Capital and renowned Hong Kong entrepreneur Mr. Adrian Cheng (invested via investment entity – Perfect Ridge Limited), each bringing unique expertise, experience and insight to the partnership.
Key Objectives: Assist the Head of Operational Risk Management (“ORM”) to establish and maintain ORM related Policies & Procedures, and oversee the Bank to effectively implement these policies and procedures in managing operational risks in accordance with the risk appetite.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the implementation, development / maintenance, review and approval of ORM related Policies and Procedures are timely and properly.
- Work closely with different lines of defense to ensure applicable regulatory and internal requirements on ORM are fulfilled.
- Identify, analyze and monitor operational risk events / issues, and prepare escalations (e.g. for high-risk events / issues) .
- Assist in driving the Key Control Self-Assessment (“KCSA”) exercise and developing Key Risk Indicators (“KRI”) of the Bank.
- Review and propose updates on the Risk Appetite on ORM.
- Ensure operational risks are within the approved risk appetite through.
- Review of controls design of new products / services / procedures.
- Review of the root-cause analysis and rectification plan of material operational risk events / issues.
- Tracking of timely implementation of rectification plan.
- Prepare training materials for continuously cascading ORM requirements as stipulated in the ORM related Policies & Procedures in order to promote effective risk management culture.
- Manage the planning & execution of the bank-wide Business Impact Analyses and Business Continuity Plans.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Risk Management.
- Risk management experience in Fintech, Retail or Private Banking & Wealth Management is an advantage.
- Good knowledge in HK Regulatory Requirements for Banks, in particular to the HKMA and SFC regulatory standards.
- Highly analytical and ability to proactively lead changes.
- Be able to communicate effectively in English and Chinese, proficiency in Mandarin will be an added advantage.
- Candidates with less experience may be considered as Assistant Manager.
- Gratuity bonus will be paid upon completion of contract.
