Job Description

Our client "Cathay Subsidiary Services" is seeking a Assistant Manager - Indirect Procurement  to join their team in Hong Kong!
 


What you’ll be doing?

 

  • Identify and drive category opportunities in conjunction with client departments and the Manager, Indirect Procurement 
  • Assist the Manager, Indirect Procurement in the development and implementation of category strategies, in collaboration with business units for relevant categories of spend.
  • Lead end-to-end sourcing processes, from market research, RFP preparation, financial analysis, negotiation, and evaluation to contracting.
  • Collate market intelligence and provide feedback on product and commercial information. 
  • Execute, in collaboration with business units, performance measurements for managing on-going supplier relationships; and continually seek improvements from the supply market.
  • Lead contract and commercial negotiations with suppliers to obtain the best value for the subsidiaries.
  • Explore procurement synergies within the Cathay Group as well as with associate companies.
  • Other ad-hoc projects as assigned.

 

 

Who are they looking for?

 

  • University graduate; a business or procurement-related degree would be an advantage.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant procurement experience in commercial setting.
  • Relevant experience in supply market analysis, cost evaluation and contract management are highly preferred.
  • Strong negotiation, influencing and commercial skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Effective leadership and change management skills.
  • Proficient in computer skills Eg. MS Word, Excel.
  • Fluent in spoken English, Mandarin a plus.
