Job Description:

The team is are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Social Compliance Specialist to join its team at the Hong Kong office. As a Social Compliance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the suppliers and business partners adhere to our social compliance standards and guidelines. You will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external partners to drive compliance and improve labor conditions in our supply chain.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct supplier assessments: Perform regular and comprehensive social compliance audits, including factory visits and assessments, to evaluate suppliers' compliance with the company social compliance standards, local labor laws, and international labor standards.
  • Compliance monitoring: Develop and implement a robust monitoring system to track supplier compliance and performance. Regularly review supplier audit reports and corrective action plans to ensure timely and effective implementation.
  • Supplier relationship management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering open communication and collaboration. Provide guidance and support to suppliers in implementing corrective actions and improving social compliance practices.
  • Training and capacity building: Develop and deliver training programs and workshops to suppliers and internal stakeholders on social compliance standards, ethical sourcing practices, and labor rights. Promote awareness and understanding of social compliance issues within the organization.
  • Policy and procedure development: Contribute to the development, enhancement, and implementation of social compliance policies, procedures, and guidelines. Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in social compliance.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Collaborate with internal departments, external auditors, industry associations, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to drive continuous improvement in social compliance practices. Represent the company in relevant forums and initiatives related to social compliance.
  • Reporting and documentation: Prepare accurate and timely reports on social compliance performance, audit findings, and corrective actions. Maintain comprehensive documentation of audit reports, supplier evaluations, and compliance records.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as social sciences, business administration, or international development.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in social compliance, responsible sourcing, or related fields, preferably within the manufacturing / supplhy chain industry.
  • Strong knowledge of international labor standards, codes of conduct, and social compliance requirements.
  • Experience in conducting social compliance audits and supplier assessments, including knowledge of audit methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and an ability to interpret complex data.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in English and Chinese languages (both written and spoken).
  • Willingness to travel as required.
