Responsibilities:

• Review and ensuring the compliance of reporting requirements set by the regulatory bodies, i.e. Insurance Authority, ECIIB, MIB, IRD and Company Registry.
• Review the annual financial statements under Companies Ordinance and Insurance Companies Ordinance.
• Assist in handling statutory audit, credit resting.
• Control the month-end closing process, review and report the monthly management accounts to Management.
• Review and report the ageing of insurance receivables and payables at least quarterly.
• Review the Head Office report (Monthly, Quarterly & Yearly).
• Review the Bank Reconciliation summary, IBNR reserving by external actuary.
• Support system transformation, RBC, ORSA project implementation and apply knowledge of the new standard requirements to support system development and implementation.

Requirements: 

• University graduate majoring in Finance and Accounting or related disciplines
• Member of HKICPA or equivalent professional accountancy bodies
• Minimum 5 years’ work experience in accounting of which at least 2- 3 years in an insurance or reinsurance company
• Prior audit experience is an advantage
• Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (including Mandarin)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a good team player
