Reporting to the Finance Manager, the candidate will be responsible for assisting in Accounts Receivable (AR)/Accounts Payable (AP) and Purchasing Office (PO) to ensure an effective and efficient function is established for the Hong Kong School in order to have all the resources and services it needs to operate smoothly; and to ensure goods & services are sourced, prices negotiated, orders placed and delivered as planned.
- Handle AR/AP for school activities-related tasks, including data entry, payment verification, payment requisition, and accounts reconciliation.
- Responsible for AR/AP in compliance with accounting policies and procedures
- Liaise with business units and customer service centers in handling customer inquiries and disputes
- Bank reconciliations
- Perform ad hoc assignments as required
- Co-ordinate with other departments and maintain open communication channel
- In charge of the self-finance activities records and reports
- Record payments from students
- Follow-up the student's payment
- Prepare the activities payment
- Perform purchasing functions: obtain quotes from suppliers, price comparison, negotiate price/terms, select vendors, ensure budget available before placing orders, orders follow-up and check delivery against order
- Handle the PO modules in the system
- Ensure all details on invoice information on AP statements are correct before preparing for payment
Job Requirement
- Degree or higher diploma in Accounting, Finance or related business disciplines
- Minimum 4 years of work experiences in accounts receivable, accounts payable, procurement, Accounting/Finance or related disciplines
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational, time management and negotiation skills
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for producing reports and presentations
- Knowledge and proficient in Accounting software
- Work in an Education Institution is an advantage
- Proficient in both written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin
- Good cross-cultural and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse nationalities and cultures.
- Excellent analytical skills – with the passion and drive to demonstrate and quantify success.
- Results orientated with the ability to consistently map efforts against identified KPIs.
- Excellent time management skills and flexibility in dealing with multi-functional tasks.
- You’d like to work in a purpose-led sector.
