Job Description

Job Purpose

Ralph Lauren is looking for a motivated and experienced Assistant Manager Digital Merchandise, to be a part of HMT E-Commerce team, stationed in Hong Kong, to support the online business growth and strategic development for Hongkong.com and Taiwan.com. This position will work closely with cross-functional teams within the company as well as with external online partners/accounts to effectively manage and execute for brand.com and future third-party selling partnership programs for Hong Kong and Taiwan, including but not limited to Ralphlauren.com.hk, Ralphlauren.com.tw, and/or third-party selling partnership programs in the markets of Hong Kong and Taiwan. Candidates should have prior experience in merchandising or digital operations for online products.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage digital merchandising and digital content planning in collaboration with GC, APAC and Global’s E-Commerce/marketing/creative/merchandising teams
  • Accurate manage the product live schedule and supervise the upload of product in a timely matter
  • Maintain and develop product pages, campaign pages and other ad-hoc pages to support Marketing, Brand, Operational and eCommerce goals online to deliver best in class UI/UX
  • Support and execute improvements to navigation, product sequence, product assets/copy accuracy, site search and filtering to improve ease of product discovery 
  • Support and execute SEO strategies with E-Commerce team, collaborating with internal and external teams on the digital content strategy
  • Support and execute content initiatives online to achieve uplifts in revenue, conversions, and average order size, improve the user experience, and support cross channel consistency 
  • Interface with eCommerce, Marketing & Merchandising teams to gather assets and direction needed to implement content strategies that drive brand engagement, user interaction and ensure consistency in brand voice 
  • Utilize site analytics to drive daily decisions about content placement and presentation to impact conversions and average order values 
  • Website content management and operation support (UAT/ website enhancement support )
  • Participate in education/training sessions for product knowledge and technical tools needed 
  • Assist the eCommerce UAT team in testing deployments to ensure optimal user experience
  • Perform competitive and industry research to understand consumer needs, emerging trends and best in class eCommerce content 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 3 to 6 years of experience in digital merchandising, fashion merchandising or eCommerce operation, fashion apparel industry preferred
  • Merchandising and Fashion Retail Experience are highly preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office, strong Excel skills (Vlookup, pivot table is a must)
  • Strong attention to detail with an ability to work under pressure, meeting tight deadlines and producing excellent work 
  • Results oriented with a strong work ethic 
  • Keen eye for style and design with ability to quickly learn best practices for user experience and interaction, website navigation, hierarchy and content 
  • Online savvy with curiosity and enthusiasm for digital and media trends 
  • Excellent copywriting skills, with emphasis on product marketing 
  • Knowledge of SEO principles, HTML and Photoshop skills a plus 
  • Energetic and highly productive with a positive attitude and passion for merchandising and eCommerce 
  • Strong time and project management skills
  • Proven analytical and numerical proficiency; versed in site analytics, proficient in analyzing data for decision making and translating to commercial opportunities.
  • Experience with eCommerce Content Management systems preferred.
  • Strong analytical, communication & interpersonal skills, verbal & written
  • Fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English, written and spoken Chinese and English
